Join as an Organization

Join the Summit for the Planet and raise money for the school or organization, help the future of the planet, and have fun!

Organizations keep 70% of everything they raise in this ‘green’, positive, educational, and healthy community event -- that is a lot better than selling wrapping paper! The other 30% covers the event expenses.

By registering your organization or school you make the following agreements:

• You, or someone in your organization who you appoint, will be the Summit Coordinator for your organization. The Summit Cooridnator for your group will help people in your organization sign up to participate, approve their applications on the web site, and encourage and assist them to get sponsors to make pledges of support.
   
• Your Summit Coordinator or someone else representing your organization needs to come on the day of the event -- and other volunteers are welcome.  (Your coordinator can also participate by getting sponsors and hiking with the group).
   
• Your organization will notify its members (students, volunteers, board members, etc) and encourage participation. Summit for the Planet can provide posters, postcards, newsletter texts, and fliers for you to share.
   
• If you want to accept pledges on paper (for those who don’t have internet access), you agree to input their pledges online.
   
• Your organization’s leaders have given approval to participate. Your organization is-tax exempt e.g., 501(c)3, school or other tax-exempt organization, does not illegally discriminate and will send your tax-exempt documentation to Summit for the Planet.
